Red Shining has recently completed update of his chinese patch for final version of Mental Omega. You can download it here.
Also, keep posting bugs and feedback in this thread, I will be releasing first patch for v2.0psi soon in order to fix those like Spy bug or Frozen Candles screen bug. I will also remove Ghost Miners and Grizzly Tanks from water.

| » Mental Omega APYR v2.0psi released. |
Well then people, this is it. I am releasing final version of Mental Omega today and this time I'm sure it's pretty much the final version. At the very beginning I am warning you that I wasn't working on it just after the release of v2.0c because I had some important exams and only after those could I resume work. What was that work about? Well, mainly bugfixing, balancing and some additional polish-ups. There've been few major gameplay changes and new additions as well (like two new tech buildings, new game mode or two new country specific units of Yuri' Epsilon side). You can read full changelog here.
v2.0psi is being released as a single file which weights 58MB. I didn't create second part with sounds or skirmish maps because: 1. people kept complaining that they have no sounds just because they didn't actually install the second part, 2. it was pretty much stupid to play light version without sounds, 3. skirmish map expansion makes the mod launcher smaller by 10MB only so there was no deal in doing two-part mod launcher. Download v2.0psi here. Important notes: if the mod launcher wants you to open an xmlf file, download it again because an error during download occurred. If after first activation nothing happens but Yuri's Revenge is on, close it and just activate the mod again. Rest of activation bugs are explained in faq.
Still, be there any critical or any other bugs or balance issues in modification (like v2.0c Aeroblaze navy slashing capabilities or 1-hit harvester kill using Gattling Tanks, hehe) I'll be releasing patches from time to time and those patches will be released in form of xmlf files, just like expansion of v2.0c or chinese patch. I talked with Red Shining recently and he said that he may be doing chinese patch update for v2.0psi but he has a lot of work at school so this is not 100% sure. If he does his work, I'll surerly post new chinese patch on the website. Modification patches for v2.0psi will be released when I get enough bugs/balance issues reported and when I am able to do them (I am starting studies in two weeks from now).
I would like to clear up one important thing as many people kept complaining that the mod doesn't work just because they installed BOTH NPSE and Rock Patch! Mental Omega requires NPSE #0022 ONLY to work correctly! ONLY NPSE! Rock Patch and NPSE are not half compatible! You can get it from VK's site here. Remember that you need to install official Yuri's Revenge 1.001 patch before getting NPSE, and then mod to work. Mental Omega won't work on pirated Yuri's Revenge, neither will NPSE.
I checked save/load and Epsilon's campaign play-forward internall errors. I know that NPSE is not perfect as far as save/load thing is concerned but it worked pretty well for me. Bear in mind that you can't load saves done with previous Mental Omega versions or with different NPxx versions. Epsilon campaign internal errors have presumably been fixed. If anyone gets one after completing a mission and clicking 'Continue' button after the score screen, remember to report that! v2.0psi bug report and feedback thread is here.
With the addition of new theme pack, modification weights 100MB in total. You can get updated (and final) theme pack here as well. Download updated theme pack here.

Okay, enough of the technical talking. It's time to add-in some heart and stuff, you know. Mental Omega is pretty much done, as I said before although that doesn't mean I am leaving this project and stop to support it. I will still be updating it, in case of bugs but hell - I've said it all before. More heart! And that is, I would like to warmly thank everyone who supported me during all the work on this modification, everyone who provided helpful hand when I needed it to complete it, everyone who tested and complained, hehe, and of course - everyone who played Mental Omega.
You, those who played and completed campaign of it know the fate of Yuri's almost perfect device. Now, the same fate meets the modification - it's almost completed forever. One day, when nobody plays Yuri's Revenge anymore, not to mention modifications for it - it will complete the fate of Mental Omega Tower. But before that happens, have fun playing latest v2.0psi release.

2.0psi is being tested right now, you can still join beta tests if you wish - just PM me and I'll give you passwords to both beta and special board where you can post feedback.
One of new features available in 2.0psi is new game mode called "Lost Colony". You may remember that original Yuri's Revenge had only one map which used lunar terrain - Soviet mission with Yuri's Lunar Command Center. Well, there are no moon missions in Mental Omega campaign, but now you can use modified armies to fight on maps based on that specific terrain. There are 10 maps which will come with new version of modification but I will be posting special mappack updates and you will always be able to add your own lunar maps to the game by changing one line in text version of the map (namely GameMode=colony under [Basic] section). In "Lost Colony" you don't collect ore, you capture supply docks, which work in similar way to Oil Derricks but provide more resources. You can't use each of infantry or tank, not to mentioning ships or common aircrafts (Yuri can still use his discs though). Allies use Rocketeers as their basic soldiers, Soviets can train Cosmonauts and Epsilon calls Acolytes to fight their enemies. Obviously, there are more changes to each of three armies. I've posted four screenshots of the game mode on ModDB.
Oh, and a small btw..

| » Mental Omega 2.0psi B&B Testing |
I said v2.0c is the last version. Well, I should better not remember saying that.
Mental Omega v2.0c was far from being perfect due to various issues concerned with gameplay and balance. Now, after I finished all of my exams I was able to truly finish work on this modification. I realize that a lot has changed since release of v2.0c but I hope Red Alert 3 did not take everyone away from good ol' Yuri's Revenge or at least RA2. Also, not everyone got RA3 beta keys, did you? I am still waiting for my beta key and I'm starting to think that Soviet tesla assault seriously damaged RA3 beta system.
Anyways, MO 2.0psi beta is available for bugs and balance tests. You can download it here, but the zip requires bass..password that you can get from me - or from a person who already has the pass, but I just want to know who tests new version of mod and who really wants to give some feedback and not only play it just for the sake of playing. And you still need password for beta board.
What will 2.0psi provide? Well, it's mainly a bugfix/balancefix/polishup/etc. version. There are some major tweaks concerned with gameplay, you'll also find new mission for each side's campaign. There are also few new units. I'll give you more info soon, after first feedback on this beta version. I don't know if Chinese version of 2.0psi is possible because both Moon Pine and Red Shining are out of reach as for now.
UPDATE: Beta 2 is now available. It still requires a password though.
